There are lots of perfectly good reasons why the current owner(s) and successor(s) can’t agree on goals and objectives. Generational differences, personality differences, even miscommunication, can be the culprit.

Think about bringing in a trusted advisor to facilitate the conversation and help you come to a consensus. It should be someone you both trust, someone who is an excellent communicator and who also knows enough about farming to give some good advice.
